This black and white ink painting was a gift for my good friend AC Galaga. AC and I collaborated on his comics anthology GenkiFace while I was living in Japan. The magazine was full of funny and insightful comics, as well as some cool cartoons from AC himself. This particular image pays homage to Alex Ross’s subtle and moving depiction of Superman, combined with the GenkiFace mask. You can compare this with the originals below (click to enlarge).
